Soapbox

Shortly after graduating from a post-grad program at George Brown College, I worked at Soapbox as a UX / Graphic Designer. At the time, Soapbos was a SaaS targeted at enterprise organizations. The platform included pipelines and delegations to help bring approved ideas to execution. I was involved in the design and launch of their first mobile app, as well as maintaining and creating new features for the overall platform such as dashboards, grouped ideas, and challenges.

Product Design

Product projects would be kicked off with a requirements brief where the team would outline the stakeholders, business objectives and timelines. Once we identified the personas involved we could brainstorm and strategize a plan. The following is an overview of my design process:

Discover

  • Conduct research
  • Connect with dev team
  • Strategize plan.

Explore

  • Map out user journey
  • Sketch wireframes

Create

  • Build UI Mockups
  • Review designs
  • Make revisions
  • Prepare specs for dev team
  • Review feature in product
  • Ship it

Marketing Design

On the marketing side, the challenge was to create content that would deliver valuable, practical information and create interest around employee engagement. We endeavoured to situate ourselves as industry experts working with the Content Manager and Marketing Director to create resources such as infographics, ebooks, slideshares, whitepapers and blog post graphics.

I also provided brand support to the Client Success and Sales departments for assets such as email & newsletter templates, workshop materials, support documentation, etc. Check out the full infographic featured below.
